No. Following Supreme Court orders, B.Ed holders are not eligible for Primary school posts. Only candidates possessing D.El.Ed (or equivalent 2-year elementary diploma) along with Primary TET are eligible for Classes I to V.

Selection is conducted by the West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC) through the State Level Selection Test (SLST), comprising an OMR-based written examination, academic scoring, a lecture demonstration, and an interview.
